Who is Molly?

Molly is a 13-year old girl who lives in the sprawling Mathare Slum located in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. It’s home to over 500,000 people living on the edge of survival. In 2011, the World Food Programme (WFP) gave Molly a small video camera, donated by Cisco, and asked her to film scenes from her daily life. The video below is the result of her task, showing us what it’s like to eat, play, grow up and dream in one of the poorest places in the world.

Thanks to the World Food Programme, which is funded entirely by voluntary donatons, Molly and 20 million other children around the world receive a free and nutritious meal in school every day.
